SRBA’s Object Evaluation course is the BASE world’s best introduction to the art of finding and jumping new objects.
These skills are also important when jumping unfamiliar objects, to recognize and understand the strengths and weaknesses of jumping plans created by other jumpers.
Course Tuition $1195
Outstanding features of the course include:
Multiple rigs for each student. Each student uses multiple rigs to allow jumping of multiple objects without repacking. Student gear is used on less technical objects so that pack jobs on the students’ personalized gear can be saved for more demanding jumps.
Height estimation techniques. Classroom and real world practice sessions cover altitude estimation techniques ranging from primitive rock drops to laser range finders.
High angle access. Classroom and outdoor practice sessions on improvised harnesses, climbing gear, building anchors, rappelling, and other high angle access techniques prepare students for real world situation. Instruction emphasizes practical access and self rescue for jumpers.
Multiple objects. Students are taken to evaluate multiple real world objects.
New objects. Each course will attempt to open at least one new object that has never been jumped before.
BASE in a day. Weather permitting, courses generally finish with an attempt to jump all four BASE object types (B, A, S and E) in less than 24 hours.
High Definition (4k) video of most jumps. This helps to correct mistakes, and students are given copies of all the video. Debrief is done both immediately after the jump, and later at the school on larger screens.
Unlimited auditing privileges to repeat the course. Any student is welcome to repeat any course they have completed at any time in the future at no additional charge. Because the object selection varies, the repeat value of this course is very high.
